Spain’s young tennis sensation
Carlos Alcaraz is reportedly charging a handsome amount of money for private
clinics during his off time.
The 20-year-old is often rated as
one of the most highly-rated players in the men’s singles category currently
playing in the circuit alongside Italy’s Jannik Sinner and America’s Ben
Shelton.
In a news that appeared online, it was
claimed that Alcaraz is now charging $5,000 for a 30-minute private clinic
during the off-season in Los Cabos.
Players can also book a group
session for $550 per player whereas additional guests can join for $1,000.
Alcaraz made a name for himself
earlier this year after he defeated Serbia’s legendary tennis star and the
current world number one Novak Djokovic in a five-set thrilling final at
Wimbledon with a score of 1–6, 7–6(8–6), 6–1, 3–6, 6–4.
It was his second Grand Slam as he
also won the US Open in 2022 where he defeated Norway’s Casper Ruud with a
score of 6–4, 2–6, 7–6(7–1), 6–3.
However,
things did not go well for Alcaraz after winning Wimbledon in 2023. In the
fourth and final Grand Slam of the year, he lost in the semifinal to Russia’s Daniil
Medvedev with a score of 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3.
