Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, and Alexander Zverev are all in contention for a $600K bonus payment from the ATP 500 Bonus Pool at the end of the season.
The trio of Top 10 players have all had very successful seasons, with Alcaraz winning his second Grand Slam title at Wimbledon after he defeated Novak Djokovic in a five-set thriller.
Meanwhile, Medvedev reached the final of the US Open and picked up five ATP titles, while Zverev has achieved solid results after coming back from injury at the start of the season.
Moreover, the trio have emerged as the top-performing players at ATP 500 tournaments this season. This means that they are entitled to a bonus payment. According to a statement, this goes to the top five players who have competed at ATP 500 events throughout the year and have built up enough ranking points.
"Players that are in good standing and fulfill the ATP Tour 500 commitment requirements, shall be eligible for the ATP Tour 500 bonus pool.
The order of standings will be based on total Pepperstone ATP Rankings points earned at the ATP Tour 500 events in 2023. The 2023 ATP Tour 500 bonus pool will be a total of USD $1,300,000."
At the moment, Alcaraz is in the lead with 1480 points, meaning he is set to receive the $600,000 bonus. In second place is Medvedev, who is currently set for $300,000, while Zverev is in third with 1175 points, setting him up for $200,000.
