Maria Sakkari hasn't had much success when it comes to winning trophies in the past few years but she has been one of the more consistent players on the Tour.
Being a very consistent tennis player is very hard to do which is why such achievements are generally considered quite impressive. When you look at the list of most consistent tennis players in the past three years, it's only two names long. Iga Swiatek has been the most consistent and arguably one of the best players.
She reached 20+ semi-finals on the WTA Tour in the past three years though there is one more player who did it. It's Maria Sakkari which means that besides Swiatek she's been the most consistent player in the past three years. 20 semi-finals on the WTA Tour, quite impressive, even if many didn't end with a trophy.
