Alize Cornet was impressed to see
Novak Djokovic lift yet another Australian Open as she feels a strong privilege of being able to watch the greatness of the big three.
Cornet is a huge tennis fan and watches the sport regularly on top of being a professional player. She watched the final like most tennis fans and walked away impressed by what Djokovic has been able to do. Despite the injury, Djokovic largely cruised in the final beating Tstsipas easily. For Cornet, it was amazing to see:
“I followed the final with great interest as a great tennis
fan that I am. Novak Djokovic is a mutant, you realize more when you are
a tennis player. He comes from another planet and I am happy to live in
this incredible era of tennis with Roger, Novak and Rafa."
She also praised the rest of the big three and the chance to watch them all play. It's a privilege and she hopes to see the next chapter of that in Paris. She'd like to see Nadal battle Djokovic for number 23:
“I hope Rafa can fight Djokovic for the 23rd Grand Slam. That would be awesome."
