Mystery of Daniil Medvedev's Australian Open training absence explained in heartwarming post

Daniil Medvedev has become a father again for the second time which has explained his absence thus far from the Australian Open or assorted warm-up tournaments.

Fans chimed on social media that Medvedev was nowhere to be seen not playing in any of the events prior to the Australian Open or even practicing in Melbourne yet.

But last year's finalist in reality is off for a reason. He has become a dad for the second time with his wife Daria sharing a photo on his Instagram. He merely put Happy 2025 with a picture of himself, his new arrival and his daughter Alisa who was born in 2022.

One commenter on Instagram which gained nearly 200 likes alluded to the hunt to see where Medvedev was on social media. "OK but when everybody was wondering "where's Daniil??" this definitely was not in the options!!!" while Garbine Muguruza was one of the first to send Medvedev well wishes.

Albeit he will now be down to business likely playing with more freedom with the joy of welcoming his second child. He will hope to go one better than last year which saw him reach the final losing to a comeback effort from Jannik Sinner who went on to become the all conquering tennis force seen now.
