Daniil Medvedev thrashes David Goffin in 64 minutes in Halle

Daniil Medvedev let out all his Den Bosch anger on David Goffin beating the Belgian 6-3 6-2 in just over an hour.

It was a very fast-paced match which suits Medvedev because he's all business on the court and doesn't have to spend that long on it. He was simply playing superb tennis returning the ball very deep and hitting it very well from the baseline. Goffin was defending in the majority of the rallies and he was not able to handle the pressure that well.

After jumping out to an early lead Medvedev largely cruised in the opening set until 5-3. He had some trouble in that game mainly because he rushed and Goffin played some decent tennis as well. After saving break points, Medvedev finished it off with 6-3.

The 2nd set was even quicker and more impressive from Medvedev who was now totally feeling it. He was running around the court and smashing the ball with ease leaving Goffin confused many times. The Belgian did not create that much pressure with his serve and Medvedev rushed to a 6-2 2nd set finish. A strong win for Daniil in just 64 minutes of play.
