Daniil Medvedev wins 2023 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships over Rublev

Daniil Medvedev is an ATP champion for the 3rd consecutive week as the Russian smashed Rublev 6-2 6-2 to lift the trophy his compatriot lifted last year.

Rublev was the defending champio in Dubai this year and he did really well to make it to hte final but beating Medvedev today was almost impossible. The Russian is playing the best tennis he played in a very long time and winning trophies in 3 consecutive weeks (Rotterdam, Doha, Dubai) proves that.

Beating Djokovic in straight sets in the previous round speaks to that as well. Rublev didn't play that poorly to be fair, he was quite solid posting 3 aces and 20 winners. The errors were fair as well with only 10 but Medvedev simply dominated the match with his impeccable tennis. He had 9 aces and only one double fault.

He also had 27 winners and only six errors to win the final in only 69 minutes. Very impressive display.
