"Dimitrov copied Federer's game, dude, find your own style" says Nick Kyrgios

Nick Kyrgios is all about originality with the Australian proud about being original and something the tennis world saw before.

While that applies to both good and bad things, Kyrgios was never afraid to be his authentic himself whatever the response ends up being. That is why he has openly criticized the game of tennis, its players, rules, umpires, and everything else that he did not like. In a recent episode of his podcast, he joked about players copying other players.

He singled out Dimitrov for copying Federer's playstyle which is a rather known thing in the world of tennis as no tennis player is more similar to Federer in that regard. Kyrgios said:

"He is the most influential player. His game is copied. On the Tour, there are guys like Dimitrov who have literally copied his game. Dude, find your own style!"

The Australian said it in a joking matter but his comments are 100 % sincere. Whether Dimitrov responds remains to be seen but the Bulgarian never created controversy in tennis so he will likely take it as a compliment. After all, many have tried to copy Federer but it's not as easy as it seems.
