Novak Djokovic becomes the first player to have 60 career wins over players ranked inside the top three of the rankings at the moment of victory.
Stefanos Tsitsipas became part of tennis history but not in the way he hopes to become. As number three in the world, his defeat gave Djokovic 60 career wins over players ranked in the top three at the moment of victory.
That's the best-ever mark and certainly something that looks nice and shiny in a bid for the title of greatest of all time. No player in history ever defeated a top-3 ranked player 60 times in their career with Djokovic alone in that regard.
It's not a surprise that the two players closest to him in that regard are Nadal and Federer. Nadal has recorded 55 wins and Federer has 51.

STAT OF THE DAY❗ 🇷🇸 @DjokerNole has recorded his 60th career win over a Top 3 player, defeating No. 3-ranked Stefanos Tsitsipas, 6-4, 7-6 (4), in his opening match at the ATP Finals. 👏 He's the first man in ATP rankings history to record 60 career wins over Top 3 players. 💥
