After not succeeding last year, Djokovic had his goals set high for this year's Paris Masters. And after Nadal retired, his path to glory seemed a little bit easier as he faced Shapovalov in the final.
Shapovalov kept a high level of the first service during the match as he hit 11 aces and won 83% of the points after his first serve. But that was still not enough. Djokovic won a total of 80% of points on his service and allowed Shapovalov to have only 1 breakpoint during the match, which he managed to save.
Djokovic won the match 6-3 and 6-4 in an hour and 8 minutes and added another title to the trophies from Australian Open, Madrid, Wimbledon and Tokyo which he won this year.
