Djokovic, Monfils, Gasquet advance at Dubai Tennis Championships

The organization in Dubai has decided to put trio Djokovic, Monfils and Gasquet at the end of the day once again. Last time, the trio closed the day in Dubai, all of the mentioned were dominant in their performances. Today, two Frenchmen and world number 1 showed a great class once again.

After defeating Malek Jaziri in an hour in the first round, Djokovic added another 60-minute victory. The Serbian faced Philipp Kohlschreiber, but the German did not manage to last on the court longer than Jaziri. Djokovic secured his quarterfinal spot after 6-3, 6-1 victory.

Then, there were 3 French players to finish the day in Dubai, however, only 2 could advance as Richard Gasquet faced Benoit Paire. The younger of two was slightly more likely to win the match before it began as the no. 8 in Dubai, however, it all looked different since the players stepped on the court. Gasquet did not experience any major difficulties during the match; winning both sets 6-4 to set up a quarterfinal clash with another Frenchman.

It could have been nobody else than in-form playing Gael Monfils who will face Richard Gasquet. Monfils continues in stunning form also in Dubai as he defeated Uchiyama 6-1, 6-2 in 67 minutes. The Frenchman already lifted a trophy in Rotterdam this year and will be attempting to add another in Dubai.
