Novak Djokovic US Open 2021
Novak Djokovic has not played since the US Open final and ahead of the Paris Masters next week Djokovic picked the last person to beat him as a practice partner.
The last time Novak Djokovic played an official match was at the US Open where he watched Daniil Medvedev lift the trophy that would have given Djokovic an incredible achievement. A few weeks later Djokovic was careful to choose his practice partner ahead of the Paris Masters next week, and it's none other than Daniil Medvedev.
Both of these tennis players have been long associated with the South of Frances as both have called Monaco home for a long time. While Djokovic does not live there permanently anymore he does use the Principality to train from time to time. That is why Djokovic was joined by Medvedev in training for the Paris Masters next week.
They used the facilities of the famous Mouratoglou Tennis Academy which is located near Monaco, in the outskirts of Antibes. During their practice session, they were joined by French football legend Didier Deschamps as well who watched the two Grand Slam champions work on their craft.
