Serbia’s legendary tennis player
Novak Djokovic has received
a horror draw in the upcoming Western & Southern Cincinnati Open.
The tournament is set to begin on Monday where some of the
top players will take part in the competition.
Djokovic has received a tough draw where throughout he is
likely to face tough opponents, something that he would not have wanted
considering the US Open is around the corner.
Djokovic’s second-round opponent is likely to be Spain’s Alejandro
Davidovich Fokina. The two have met four times where the 23-time Grand Slam
winner has an advantage with three wins to his name.
His third round’s potential opponent is Australia’s Alex de
Minaur who is on a good run, having beaten some very talented players in the
recent past.
In the quarterfinals, Djokovic is likely to face his
toughest opponent Italy’s Jannik Sinner. The 21-year-old is often termed as
one of the two best young players in the circuit alongside Spain’s Carlos
Alcaraz.
In the semifinal, the former world number one is likely to
face Russia’s Daniil Medvedev who has been a fiercest rival over the years.
In the final, Djokovic is likely to have a rematch of the
Wimbledon final with the current world number one Alcaraz.
