Novak Djokovic is through to the
Belgrade Open semifinal after smashing Federico Coria 6-1 6-0 on Thursday.
It was a routine match for Novak Djokovic at the Belgrade Open against Federico Coria as the Serbian cruised with 6-1 6-0 in just 57 minutes of play. Djokovic dominated play from the start setting up points with his great return. Coria was visibly nervous and his serving was poor throughout the match which gave Djokovic the golden opportunity to attack him early.
Hitting only 49 % of his first serves exposed Coria to Djokovic's return which was deep forcing the Argentianin into the defensive. He rarely fought his way out of it and Djokovic was able to dominate rallies winning points and games quickly. The first set was over in 33 minutes with Djokovic winning 6-1.
The 2nd set was routine for both players as Coria realized there was not much he could do. Djokovic enjoyed the experience and quickly ended the 2nd set with 6-0 after 24 minutes of play. The Serbian will either play Lajovic or Martin in the semifinal tomorrow.
