World number eight Taylor Fritz has achieved another
milestone with some impressive performances in the recent past.
The 25-year-old has recently taken part in the China Open
where his journey came to an end in the round of 32 where he lost to Argentina’s Diego
Schwartzman with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 7-6.
However, before that, Fritz defeated Yosuke Watanuki of
Japan in the round of 32 with a score of 7-6, 6-7, 6-4.
Despite playing in the main round of all the Grand Slams, the
California-born managed to qualify for the quarterfinal or beyond in just one
event — the US Open.
Fritz ended up losing that contest to the current world number
one Serbia’s legendary tennis star Novak Djokovic in straight sets with a score
of 6-1, 6-4, 6-4.
Other than that, the American
tennis star was knocked out of the Australian Open in the second, the French Open
in the third and Wimbledon in the fourth round.
