America’s tennis star
Ben Shelton’s father and coach lived
every moment of the match during the
Shanghai Masters.
The 21-year-old is currently taking part in the ATP 1000
event in China where he has already booked his place in the round of 16 after defeating
Russia’s Roman Safiullin with a score of 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
During that match, Ben’s father and his coach had a mic at
their disposal, and in a video posted on social media platform X — previously known
as Twitter — they can be heard enjoying every moment of the action.
The current world number 20 is now set to face off against Italy’s
Jannik Sinner in the round of 16 clash on Tuesday. It will be the first meeting
ever between the players.
Shelton is often regarded as one of the best young male
tennis players, currently playing in the circuit.
He has made a name for himself with some outstanding bit of
display in the recently concluded US Open.
Shelton’s journey in the fourth and final Grand Slam of the
year finally came to an end as he lost the semifinal to the current world
number one Serbia’s Novak Djokovic in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 6-2,
7-6.
