The Indian Wells doubles draw traditionally features a packed field of a lot of singles players taking part and that's the case this year as well with Auger-Aliassime and Shapovalov pairing up among others.
The Canadian duo have a tough start facing Holger Rune and Ben Shelton in the first round. Shelton proved himself as a solid doubles player in Acapulco and Rune can always be dangerous with his serve and groundstrokes. Rune and Shelton have never played together but the Canadians did play together in the past.

Rune and Shelton met in Acapulco where they played a match which Rune won in three sets. Asked about Shelton, Rune said:
"I think he's a super fun guy. I like the way he plays tennis. I think it will be fun. It's going to be nice to be the one at the net after his big serve."
Some more interesting pairings include Tiafoe and Wawrinka who seem like an incredible watches. Then we have Dominic Thiem and Casper Ruud playing together as well. Among those we also have all the top doubles teams like Koolhof and Skupski as the top ones.
