The city of Metz, France will play host to one of the final tournaments on the ATP 250 calendar, as the Moselle Open is scheduled to run from November 3-9, 2024.
An ATP 250 event, the Moselle Open offers one final opportunity for ATP stars to win a trophy during the season. Furthermore, if offers contending players a chance to qualify for the year-ending ATP Finals in Turin, should they require more points to make it to the elite event such is the case with Dimitrov and Rublev.
Russian star Andrey Rublev is the top seed at the event, and he will be afforded a first round bye. Joining Rublev with a first round walkover are second seed Casper Ruud, third seed Grigor Dimitrov and fourth seed Holger Rune.
Defending champion Ugo champion is scheduled to compete at the event, and the fifth seeded Frenchman will face compatriot Hugo Gaston in what should be a hotly-contested affair. Spaniard Pedro Martinez is the sixth seed, and he will be taking on a qualifier.
Big-hitting German Jan-Lennard Struff will face Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko, while rising American star Alex Michelsen squares off against wildcard and local hopeful Harold Mayot. French veteran Richard Gasquet will undoubtedly have the crowd on his side when he takes on Brazilian Thiago Monteiro, and former World No.8 Cameron Norrie will battle Spain's Roberto Carballes Baena in another interesting opening round matchup.
A lot of this week also rides on the ATP Finals with Andrey Rublev, Grigor Dimitrov among others playing in order to try and force their way into contention for Turin. They have both received late wildcards to play in France and so will both hope for a title run that will gleam them the extra spots.
