The draw has been confirmed for the 2025 Open Occitanie which begins today in Montpellier. Formerly and best known as Open Sud de France, it takes place between 27 January - 2 February and is the first and only ATP tournament in the week after the Australian Open.
Played on indoor hard courts, it typically takes place in early February and serves as an important stop on the European indoor tennis circuit. Since its inception in 2010, the tournament has attracted top players, including Richard Gasquet, Gaël Monfils, and Alexander Zverev, with French players often excelling, such as Gasquet and Monfils claiming multiple titles.
Alexander Bublik is the current defending champion and will defend his title this time around. He is fourth seed and will face off against either Gregoire Barrere or Dominik Koepfer.
Andrey Rublev is top seed in Montpellier and faces Christopher Eubanks or a qualifier. While Felix Auger-Aliassime takes on either Stan Wawrinka or Arthur Cazaux. The former receiving a wildcard into the tournament.
Other familiar faces in the draw include David Goffin, Flavio Cobolli and Tallon Griekspoor in a field best described as mostly European and players middling in the mid ranges of the ATP Rankings.
