Emma Raducanu arrived in Stuttgart after a solid outing in the Billie Jean King Cup where she scored her first win on clay.
Now she added another one and this was far more impressive against Storm Sanders of Australia. The final score was 6-1 6-2 with Raducanu moving on after a very strong performance that overwhelmed her opponent from the baseline. Raducanu complicated things a few times on her serve until she found a good rhythm and once she did she was nearly unstoppable.
Playing a very similar game to what got her the US Open trophy, Raducanu overwhelmed Sanders pretty easily in rallies. Obviously, she is a much more talented player than her opponent and it showed. Another positive thing for Raducanu was her movement which looked much better than against Vondrousova where she battled a foot blister.
If her foot holds up in the next few days the Brit will be a difficult out for anybody because she looked very sharp in this one.
