The ATP 250
Bastad Open is next on the calendar. As is traditional, the tournament will be played on clay courts from July 14th to 20th, 2025, the week after Wimbledon.
This event marks the final week for ATP clay-court tournaments, bringing an end to the European clay season before the tour moves to the North American hardcourts. Without any Top-10 stars, the draw is wide open, promising potential surprises from the many clay-court specialists.
The defending champion is Nuno Borges, who famously defeated none other than Rafael Nadal in the 2024 final—which was Nadal's last final appearance. The Portuguese player will be the fifth seed and one of six Top-40 players participating in the tournament.

Predictions
Samuel Gill, Head Editor for TennisUpToDate.com sees it as quite an easy conundrum to conquer this week.
Francisco Cerundolo is the class of the field and there was a reason that he lead the ATP tour for wins earlier in the year.
That was his prowess in these kind of tournaments which Alexander Zverev for instance tried to enter to become World No.1. He swiftly found out that in reality, it isn't as easy to conquer them as he expected.
Him and Sebastian Baez should lead the way in reality and I expect either to win.
Favourites:
*** Francisco Cerundolo
** Sebastian Baez, Tallon Griekspoor
* Nuno Borges, Camilo Ugo Carabelli, Luciano Darderi
Entry List
Originally the Entry List featured
Grigor Dimitrov and
Hubert Hurkacz as heralded star power but in the end both withdrew.
Both have injuries. Hurkacz requires surgery while Dimitrov is set to be out until at least the US Open.
So it is Cerundolo and Griekspoor from the initial field that lead the way.
