Dan Evans is not really excited about the upcoming tennis Netflix show as he sees it as mostly staged and acted which might not be far from the truth.
The British player was asked about the upcoming show in a recent interview with The Times where he practically called the TV show staged. He pointed out that it was known which players are going to be featured:
“You could have handpicked who they were going to choose. It is so predictable. You want to hear what Rafa [Nadal] has got to say when he had to pull out of Wimbledon. We’ll have to listen to Tsitsipas and a tennis dad. There’s always going to be a tennis dad in there, isn’t there? It’s not for me. It’s all acted, you can see it. Come on.”
Evans agreed that it might help the sport overall but he has no interesting in watching it.
