The mother of
Boris Becker is delighted that her son is going to be released calling it the best Christmas present she could ever hope for as she waits for him.
The German was sentenced to 30 months in prison earlier this year but he'll be released earlier as he's a foreign national. The German will be deported to Germany before Christmas makes his 87-year-old mother Elvira very happy as they will be able to spend Christmas together. Her reaction was reported to the media by a family friend:
“This is the best Christmas present I could hope for – I cannot wait
to hold my beloved son in my arms."
Another family friend told German media:
“Elvira is simply overjoyed he is coming home. For her, having Boris out of prison and back home is the best thing
imaginable – and for it to happen in time for Christmas will be great
for her. She was worried about when she might see him again, so this is
all a huge deal for her – especially given her age.”
