Roger Federer continues his post tennis life commitments by being announced as the co-chair of the Met Gala in New York.
Roger Federer has been interested in fashion for quite some time and his friendship with Anna Wintour certainly expanded his interest. The Swiss Ace was invited by Wintour to be a co-chair for of the event alongside several big stars like Dua Lipa. The prestigious fashion event will take place on May 1st and it will honour the late Karl Lagerfeld with its theme.
Dua Lipa actually confirmed the news by announcing the full list of co-chairs on social media naming Federer among them. She wrote:
"Excited to announce that I am one of the #MetGala2023 Co-Chairs alongside Michaela Coel, Penélope Cruz, Roger Federer and Anna Wintour. See you for the First Monday in May #CostumeInstitute Benefit."
She also provided insight on the theme:
"The 2023 Met Gala celebrates the opening of “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” and provides The Costume Institute with its primary source of annual funding for exhibitions, publications, acquisitions, operations, and capital improvements. #ALineOfBeauty opens to the public on May 5,"

- Having spent weeks and weeks through the years on tour, I can say with confidence that Conchita was (is) one of the very few who realize the surprising level of maturity (and sometimes lack of) which Mirra seems to have developed in such a demanding adult world of Pro-Tennis. While at the same time reminding herself (Conchita, that is) that Mirra is still young and developing mentally and physically. The general public may forget at times, or not at all realize, these modern era young athletes do not have a 'normal' Youth.
