Felix Auger-Aliassime and Gael Monfils confirmed for Open Sud de France in Montpellier

The Open Sud de France event in Montpellier is a very popular indoor hard court even that attracts a strong field every year.
The event draws are usually dominated by a lot of native French players but each year there are many other tennis players that take part as well. The 2021 edition featured a very entertaining final between Goffin and Roberto Bautista Agut that was won by Goffin in three sets. The 2022 edition is yet to announce the full field but the February event will feature two very big names.
Felix Auger-Aliassime will take part in the event which would make a lot of tennis fans happy. The Canadian is slated for a breakout year next season after he put forward some strong showings in big events in 2021. Whether it comes during the early part of the season remains to be seen. He will be joined by fan-favorite Gael Monfils who will also return to the event.
Monfils played this event many times winning it three times in his career so far with the last title coming in 2020. It's the most successful event Monfils has had in his career so people should expect him to do well.
