The record breaking temperatures of the weekend in the UK led to Wimbledon having the hottest opening two days on record. But it was back to a British norm to begin Day Three, that was rain.
Albeit it was humid with temperatures still heading towards 20 degrees. This meant delays though to the outer court matches which were only started around half an hour ago.
Joao Fonseca v Jenson Brooksby was one of the first matches to get postponed in the early going. Nicolas Jarry v Learner Tien, Olga Danilovic v Madison Keys, Leylah Fernandez v Laura Siegemund too.
These games have now begun with only Brandon Nakashima's game from last night not restarted. Fonseca, Jarry are two players already a set up.
Aryna Sabalenka is already onto Centre Court as she is facing off against Marie Bouzkova. While Keys is a set up. Sonay Kartal is also on the verge of victory and is a set and a break up on Viktoriya Tomova.
With rain being only today, it shouldn't play havoc for the rest of the week currently unlike such tournaments as the French Open. But in reality it could lead to a long day ahead in London.
