VIDEO: "Got the biggest rock in my throat" says Australian basketball star Patty Mills on Barty Wimbledon triumph

Ashleigh Barty won her maiden Wimbledon trophy yesterday and many Australians were extremely proud of her achievement.

One of them was Australian basketball star Patty Mills who has been a household name in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for many years. The player was asked about her triumph after a friendly game Australia played versus Argentina and he said:

"This is special. This is goosebumps stuff. I am getting emotional, more for that than our game. Amazing inspiration for everyone in Australia, especially indigenous Australians."

Mills was very emotional talking about the subject as similar to Barty he too has indigenous Australian ancestry. He shared the video talking about her triumph on his official Twitter profile afterwards where he once again wrote:

"I got asked post-game tonight about Ash Barty's Wimbledon victory and immediately got the biggest rock in my throat and what if felt like a million goosebumps. So proud of you. You continued to impact people in ways you can't even imagine. Big Big fan."
