"He is an incredible fighter, possibly the greatest on tour, he can only be compared to Rafa" - Cilic on Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas built a strong reputation for being a very physical player and Marin Cilic agrees with that noting his fighting spirit.

The Croatian talked about Tsitsipas recently noting how the Greek player is one of the biggest fighters on the Tour if not the biggest. He also compared him to Rafael Nadal in that regard which is very high praise from the veteran:

"What I like about him is that he has incredible willpower and he is an incredible fighter, possibly the greatest on tour, he can only be compared to Rafa. I'm sure he'll come back and achieve great things."

Cilic was stunned as many by his loss to Galan but he admitted that those things simply happen from time to time:

"It's hard to say clearly what happened. I saw on TV the score, the first two sets. These things can happen, I don't know what could have happened. Then he played well, anyway. However, he lost a set and was out of the tournament, it can happen."
