"He reminds me of Rafa" - Ferrer compares Alcaraz to Nadal

After winning his first Grand Slam championship, Carlos Alcaraz rose to the top of the rankings and many began to compare him to Rafael Nadal.

Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz's careers are often compared, despite Carlos Alcaraz's previous claims that he doesn't want to be compared to Nadal. While speaking to Punto de Break, former third-ranked player David Ferrer also compared the two while noting that Alcaraz is a special player:

"What can I tell you? What is clear is that he is a special player, different. It is tremendous that at that age he assumes these responsibilities, that he is not afraid of the opposite and that he always wants more.

He continued:

"That's what amazes me about him, he reminds me of Rafa when he was that age, that way of assuming pressure, he had no problem with that. "Apart from that, tennis, physically and mentally he is superior to the others at that age."

It remains to be see whether Alcaraz can reach the same heights as Rafael Nadal did.
