Novak Djokovic is spending time in his native Serbia where he is doing some charity work ahead of the new season.
It's not hard to understand that Novak Djokovic is completely beloved in his native Serbia as he is the countries most famous athlete nowadays. The Serbian is currently back home in Serbia spending some time with friends and family while also doing some charity work. For everything that he has done, he was awarded with his very own stamp.
On the occasion he said:
"An honor to receive my very own Serbian stamp. Thank you to my
generous country for this rare gift! I’m humbled!! Excited to share
we’ll partner with the Serbian National Postal Service on
@novakfoundation projects for every child to have the opportunity to
attend preschool. Gratitude for everyone that brought this together. Now @jelenadjokovic and I will take some stamps home for the kids to write to Santa."
In early December, Djokovic started raising funds for a preschool in Serbia.
"I have great memories of the city of Nis, and I am happy that this
Season of Giving Jelena, NDF, and I will raise funds for a new preschool
in this city, which will enable children and their families to dream
big!"
Asked about it he said:
"Preparations have begun. It's all going well so far."
