A two-hour battle, interrupted by rain, enraged the final at the Winston-Salem Open, which was won by Hubert Hurkacz, who won his first ATP title.

Both tennis players played very well in the tournament before the US Open, where they already know the opponents in the first round. They have not met at the ATP circuit yet, so the match did not know any major favorite.
However, Hurkacz started the match better. He managed to break the opponent's serve twice, unlike his opponent, who only managed it once. Hubert got the first set to his side by 6-3.
In the second set, however, the events happened exactly the opposite. It was Paire who took Hurkacz's service twice and took this set to his side, winning it identical to Hurkacz in the first set, 6-3.
The tennis players went to rest a little when the match was interrupted by rain, and the Polish did not seem to have benefited. He immediately lost his first service and started the third set with a big disadvantage. But like him in the first set and the French in the second, he again managed to take the opponent's serve twice and won the set again 6-3.
Hurkacz thus earned his first ATP title and moved up to career-high to the 35th position.
