“I have an answer”: Daniil Medvedev asks Felix Auger Aliassime to take cue from Tommy Paul’s performance at Indian Wells to break losing streak

Russia’s tennis star Daniil Medvedev has interesting words for Felix Auger Aliassime during a recent interaction. The current world number four was featured in a video posted by ATP on the social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — account where he was asked questions by fellow tennis players.

Aliassime asked an interesting question to the one-time Grand Slam winner. “Daniil plan and simple like how do I win against you? I’ve been close at times but every time you’ve made me struggle so I’m going to keep trying but how do you do it?” he asked. In response to that, Medvedev asked Canada’s star tennis player to look at how America’s Tommy Paul has played against him in the recent past.

“It’s a very fun question,” said the current world number four. “But I have an answer. I actually managed to win the match but if you watch Tommy Paul’s first set against me in Indian Wells, you can see how you can beat me. You just have to return everything on the line, jump to the net, make drop shot volleys, winners and it is pretty easy to beat me.” Both players have faced off seven times and on all occasions, it was the Russian tennis star who came out on top.
