Australia’s tennis star
Nick Kyrgios has stated that he spent
all his life to become something he was not. The 28-year-old is famous for
being outspoken and has come under some criticism as well over the years for his
behaviour on and off the court.
Kyrgios was recently quoted in a report where he stated that
he started to find happiness when he behaved like himself instead of becoming
something he was not.
“I actually have spent my entire life trying to be something
that I'm not, which was being a classy tennis player," he said. "But
then when I started to be myself, I was starting to find some happiness."
Kyrgios is currently spending time on the sidelines as he
continues to recover from an injury sustained in the second half of 2022. It
was because of this reason he ended up missing all four Grand Slams.
Kyrgios’ fans will be hoping that the former world number 10
will return to his very best soon, just like he was before he got injured.
The Canberra-born had
a great season in 2022 where he played in his maiden and till now the only
Grand Slam final at Wimbledon where he lost to the current world number one
Serbia’s Novak Djokovic with a score of 4–6, 6–3, 6–4, 7–6.
