Novak Djokovic made a great start at home
Serbia Open in Belgrade, beating Soonwoo Kwon 6-1, 6-3 in 68 minutes for the place in the quarters.
Novak broke the young Korean five times and lost serve only once while serving for the victory at 5-2 in set number two. Novak looked sharp and clean, dictating the pace and playing well on both serve and return to celebrate the first Serbia Open win since 2011.
After the encounter, Djokovic said that he was pleased with how he played, feeling extra motivated after seeing his family and friends in the stands.
"I thought I played very well from the very beginning, except that service game that I lost at 5-2 in set number two. I thought it was a pretty flawless performance. I moved well and was mixing up the pace quite well, making my rival run and play. I served well in the crucial moments and felt great overall.
Playing in front of my family and friends gives you an extra push, motivation and energy to give your best and leave it all out on the court. I think that also made me feel comfortable and confident on the court, and I played well; I'm pleased with the quality of my tennis," Novak Djokovic said.
