Sebastian Korda is opting to focus on the positives regarding his
Adelaide International final loss to
Novak Djokovic as he wasted a match point.
Korda had a chance to win this match although he was never quite close to it. The American had a match point but Djokovic would not give up that easily and eventually found a way to win the match in three sets. A disappointing finish for Korda but he's opting to focus on the positives rather than the negatives:
"I think it shows me that I definitely have the game to disrupt whoever's on the other side of the net. I take a lot of pride in that. I think going forward, it's just only going to help me to get these kind of experiences under my belt, even though it hurts. That's the way it is."
It was a really strong event by Korda and he admitted that he played pretty close to his best at times:
"Yeah, there were definitely times where I was playing really, really great. I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever played, but it's definitely up there."
He concluded with:
"I'm finally getting that feeling of I belong here, I belong to play with these guys. I think it only just gives me heaps of confidence going forward."
