Adelaide International

The Adelaide International is a professional combined ATP and WTA tennis tournament. It follows the Brisbane International, a tournaiment that is also a unique combination of both the WTA field and the ATP field of tennis players. The current WTA title holder is Latvian Jelena Ostapenko who beat friend Daria Kasatkina in 2024. Jiri Lehecka holds the title on the ATP side.

The Adelaide International 2024 is set to return with a bang, promising a thrilling start to the new tennis year. The tournament will run from 8 to 13 January 20243, and will be held at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre in Adelaide.

The Adelaide International is a unique event on the tennis circuit, comprising of both the women’s WTA 500 tour and the men’s ATP 250 tour. The tournament format is unique as it technically consists of two combined tournaments, “Adelaide 1” and “Adelaide 2”, which take place in consecutive weeks.

More than 170 top tennis players are set to compete in this world-class tennis action3 While the player lineup for the 2024 event is yet to be confirmed, past editions have seen participation from some of the world’s best players.

But it’s not just about tennis. The Adelaide International also offers live music, entertainment, bars, food trucks, and premium experiences at The Drive’s new facilities1. Tickets start from just AUD20 and give you an all-access pass to the family zone, exclusive bars, entertainment, food, drinks, and of course, tennis.

The Adelaide International serves as a warm-up event for the Australian Open, making it a key fixture in the tennis calendar.

2021: No tournament was held due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2020: Andrey Rublev defeated Lloyd Harris in the final, 6–3, 6–0

2023: Aryna Sabalenka defeated Linda Nosková in the final, 6–3, 7–6 (7–4)

2022: Madison Keys defeated Alison Riske in the final, 6-2, 6-2

2021: Iga Świątek won the title, defeating Belinda Bencic in the final, 6–2, 6–2

2020: Ashleigh Barty won the title, defeating Dayana Yastremska in the final, 6–2, 7–5
