"I'm coming baby": Nick KYRGIOS back on court for first time in eight months after failed 2023 return

Following his hiatus from professional tennis due to injury, Nick Kyrgios provided an update as he ramps up his activity in preparation for a return to the courts.

The former World No.13 has struggled with injuries over the last year and a half, initially suffering a torn meniscus in his left knee at the 2022 Japan Open. Subsequently, he underwent arthroscopic surgery, leading to him missing the 2023 Australian Open. After taking time to recuperate, Kyrgios returned to action at the 2023 Stuttgart Open in June, where he sustained a right wrist injury and has been sidelined ever since.

The Wimbledon finalist took to social media to give his fans a sneak peek at his training regimen, as he posted a picture of himself hitting on a practice court on Tuesday.

"First hit in 8 months after wrist surgery. Slowly ⏳ I'm coming baby 😤," read the caption.

Kyrgios would add a short video where he assured his fans there were no complications or negative side effects from the training session.

"Hey, guys. As you know, it's my first hit today," said the 28-year old. "Super excited, wrist feels good. Just icing it right now. Doing all the right things."
