Daniil Medvedev and the umpire in his match against Bublik had several funny moments during yesterday's match.
Medvedev and Bublik played a really good match tennis-wise but the match delivered on several other fronts as well. Daniil was able to win the match in three sets after using the rain delay as a great way to reset after losing the first set.
Upon return, Medvedev asked the umpire if he could use a bathroom break to which the umpire responded with a negative answer. Medvedev fired back with another question:
"And if I wanna change my underwear? The only chance for me to change my underwear is over there but there are cameras there. I'm okay to do it but everybody is gonna see me."
Medvedev ultimately did not change his underwear on the court and he did not get a bathroom break until after the set finished. Later in the match, Medvedev and the umpire clashed once more over a bizarre hindrance penalty called on him.
