Serbia’s legendary tennis star Novak Djokovic did not answer the question regarding the schedule of the French Open after securing a famous win. The 36-year-old registered a brilliant win in the round of 32 against Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti at the Roland Garros with a score of 7-5, 6-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-0.
The game finished as late as three on the morning of June 02, the latest finish of any Grand Slam match. Talking after the contest, Djokovic was asked about his point of view regarding the scheduling of the contest. He decided to skip the question and stated that he ‘don’t want to get into’ such questions.
"I knew you guys were going to ask me that,” said the current world number one. “Look, I don’t want to get into it. I have my opinions, but I think there are great things to talk about instead. Both Lorenzo’s and my performances stood out, I don’t want to be talking about scheduling I think somethings could have been handled a different way. But there’s beauty as well, I guess, winning a match at 3:30am… If it’s the last one of the tournament. But it’s not, so I’m going to have to switch on all of my young genes and try to recover as soon as possible.”
