Novak Djokovic had a tremendous year that almost became iconic at the US Open and Patrick McEnroe understands that very well.
Brother of John McEnroe, Patrick McEnroe understands tennis very well having played it as well and watching it for decades. The American understands very well how hard it was to do what Djokovic did in 2021. The Serbian had a brilliant year that almost became iconic at the 2021 US Open where he came as close as you can get to complete a calendar grand slam.
While failing ultimately Djokovic was still able to bounce back from the defeat in strong fashion winning the Paris Masters by defeating Medvedev. McEnroe took to his official Twitter to salute Djokovic for his year writing:
