According to the Miami Herald Djokovic's being allowed to play in Indian Wells and Miami will happen next week with the Serbian still unaware of what will happen.

Djokovic will contest the Dubai semi-final later today against Medvedev but he doesn't know whether he'll be able to play in Miami and Indian Wells in March. The Serbian confirmed to media that he doesn't still know what will happen as he hasn't heard anything regarding his application for exemption.

According to the Miami Herald, the decision should happen early next week with no indication of how might go. The ban preventing Djokovic from entering the US will be lifted in a few months which means that his participation in Cincinnati and the US Open later this year is not in doubt.

Indian Wells and Miami events petitioned for an exemption to allow Djokovic to play, "based on the fact that there doesn’t seem to be any imminent danger with him playing", says James Blake. Still no reply, decision coming within next week. (via @MiamiHerald)
