The ATP 500 event in Acapulco was shaping up to be one of the best events this year but injuries have weakened the field a bit with Korda and Tsitsipas pulling out.
Both players will be unable to play at the event due to injuries with the withdrawals coming a day apart. Tsitsipas was the first to announce his withdrawal due to a shoulder injury and his social media post described him as devastated. Tsitsipas loves to play in Mexico as he played in the final once and won the doubles last year.
He didn't specify what type of injury it is or how long he'll miss but so far Acapulco is his only withdrawal.
Sebastian Korda is another player who won't be playing in Mexico as the American has a wrist injury. It's not clear what might have happened but Korda had problems with the wrist in the past.
