Recently, the tennis world was shocked by the behavior of Stefanos Tsitsipas who accidentally hit his father Apostolos after he lost the first set to Nick Kyrgios.

It was a tough match for Tsitsipas whose country did not win any tie at the 2020 ATP Cup. In his last match in singles against Nick Kyrgios, Stefanos accidentally hit his father while smashing his racket. Tsitsipas then lost the match after three tie-breaks 6-7, 7-6 and 6-7 when Australia defeated Greece 3-0.
It was a very sad moment for both Stefanos, his father, but also his mother and everybody watching tennis. The Greek was also awarded a point penalty in the match and after the match, he spoke about the whole thing.
"It happened accidentally. I didn't mean to do it and straight away forgot about it and moved on from there. It happens, I wasn't aiming to do that. It just went out of control, unfortunately."

And Tsitsipas wasn't the only player who hurt his father during the 2020 ATP Cup. Alexander Zverev also did so, but emotionally. When losing to Tsitsipas, Zverev was so angry that he did not use correct words when speaking to his father after what he was caught in tears.
