Lorenzo Musetti has limited the comments on his Instagram in order to diminish the amoung ot hate and vile comments he seeds daily.
The Italian recently became one of many tennis players that spoke up about the comments you can see in tennis players' comments. It's not something that only plagues tennis but many sports and like many of his colleagues Musetti is tired of it. It's been particularly bad for Musetit lately as he's in a slump losing four matches in a row including the Indian Wells R1 match.
Due to that, he limited his comments and explained on Twitter:
"Hi everyone! Just wanted to clarify about the comments story above my posts here on IG and why I did that! I think is not healthy and correct to receive after a loss so many free insults and threats over families or person you really love. We are professional tennis players, we love tennis and we live for that! But we are also people who have feelings and we have ups and downs like everyone has and we work every day to get better and to do better!
I'm sure the real tennis fans can understand my decision for the moment about the comments And thank again for all the wonderful messages of encouragement Happy tennis to everyone."
