Jamie Murray believes Jack Draper will be next star to benefit from playing Battle of the Brits tournaments as 2023 season approaches

Jamie Murray believes Jack Draper could greatly benefit from playing in the Battle of the Brits event as Emma Raducanu did.

Raducanu played at the event in 2020 and later went on to do some great things which could happen for Draper as well. The Brit made quite an impression this year on the Tour quickly establishing himself as a pretty strong top 50 player.

The left-hander will try to follow up this year with another impressive showing next year and playing some tennis at the Battle of the Brit could be beneficial. Jamie Murray said:

“Well I think that it brought so many of the players together, whether that was like the younger players with the older players or some of the lower ranked players with the higher ranked players."

On draper specifically, Murray said:

“I think Jack’s obviously had an incredible year, he started the year outside of the top 200 and finished inside the top 50, almost inside the top 40. It’s difficult to know what his ceiling is really because he’s so young and he also he’s barely played on the tour really, I mean he’s probably done like four months or something which is nothing so it’ll be great to watch him next year, watch his progress, see what he can do but he’s got a huge upside to his game and I’m sure that he’ll be playing at the top of the game for a long time in his career.”
