Jannik Sinner ended the fairytale run of Franco Agamenone in Umag by beating him 6-1 6-3 to advance to the final where Carlos Alcaraz awaits.
Jannik Sinner put forward another strong display easily beating compatriot Franco Agamenone in straight sets. The Italian has been playing excellent tennis all week long and it continued the form he displayed at Wimbledon. Sinner has been pretty strong in Umag attacking relentlessly and his compatriot, who shares that aggressive trait, could not do anything.
The victory pushes Sinner into the Umag final where he will face Carlos Alcaraz, a man he beat at Wimbledon recently. It was a great match between the two young superstars and now we'll get it again. The only difference is the surface with this one being played on clay. They are 1-1 against each other with Sinner winning on grass and Alcaraz on clay.
Chapter 3 tomorrow so don't miss it.
