Former world number one America’s
tennis star
John McEnroe’s daughter Emily has recently met her mother Hollywood
actress Tatum O’Neal.
The 64-year-old married O’Neal
back in 1986 but the couple ended up separating eight years later in 1994. They
had three kids at the time of divorce.
Emily was one of them and she met
her mother recently. She also ended up posting pictures of that special meeting on her official account on the social media platform Instagram.
McEnroe, who now works as a tennis
broadcaster, has had a stellar career at the highest level where he ended up
winning as many as seven Grand Slam titles.
His most successful competition
was the US Open where he ended up lifting the title four times — 1979, 1980,
1981 and 1984.
Despite winning seven major
titles, the Wiesbaden-born did not manage to win the Australian and the French Open
in his career.
His last big title triumph came in
New York where he clinched the US Open for the fourth time after defeating
Czech Republic’s Ivan Lendl in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 6-4, 6-1.
McEnroe, who ended up winning 77th
ATP titles in his career, became the world number one in March 1980.
