Juan Martin Del Potro is officially out of the Tokyo
Olympic games after his team announced the news on Tuesday.
The Argentine player hasn't played tennis for two years due to his many injuries and he won't return at the Olympic Games either. Del Potro has been a standout performer at the Olympics winning a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics and a silver medal at the 2016 Olympics.
The Argentine player recently posted a video on Instagram showing him on a tennis court hitting balls so fans were hopeful to see Del Potro on the courts soon. The Argentine is making progress and he will return to the courts eventually but it won't be at the Olympics.
His team confirmed he won't be attending the Olympics which will come as a disappointment to many of his fans. However, the Argentine is focused on his comeback which is eagerly expected around the tour. We hope to see him soon on the court.
