"Just does not stop fighting": Chanda Rubin believes battling qualities of Pegula will help her in Rybakina showdown in Miami

Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula will later today for a spot in the Miami Open final and tennis commentator Chanda Rubin believes that Pegula has a shot.

Elena Rybakina has been almost unstoppable this year losing only a handful of times so far this year. She's currently on a winning streak having beaten Sabalenka in the Indian Wells final and she's only two matches away from completing the Sunshine double - a very rare feat in the world of tennis.

Despite that, Chanda Rubin blieves that Jessica Pegula will have a shot:

“I think the conditions suit her, I think, just that little extra quickness [of the court], she has no problems handling the humidity. She trains a lot in the area, is from that area. So, I think there’s a lot of things that will be in her favor, in spite of how well and how big Rybakina’s been hitting the ball."

On her previous win, Rubin said:

“That last win, she had to battle. Rybakina was up and had opportunities to take that match. [But], just like we saw in her previous match, Jessie Pegula just does not stop fighting, doesn’t let go of the belief, and I think that’s gonna help her in this match as well [The upcoming Miami Open semifinal]."
