The Ken Rosewall Arena is set to get a brand new roof in time for the ATP Cup in January, it has been revealed by Tennis Tour Talk.

The new roof which will debut at the ATP Cup is a new innovative design as well; with cable-tension PTFE fabric used which is a first for Australia.
Tennis NSW CEO and ATP Cup Sydney General Manager, Lawrence Robertson spoke about the progression of the project; he said that they can't wait to welcome the players; as well as seeing the venue completely transformed ahead of the event.
“The redevelopment of Ken Rosewall Arena and Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre has progressed extremely well; since we announced the project in January.
The new roof structure on the center court will give the fans and players a vastly improved experience. With just 40 days to go, we are looking forward to seeing the venue completely transformed to host the brand new ATP Cup and welcoming the players to Sydney.
Major events like the ATP Cup play a crucial role in driving visitation to NSW; so it is fantastic that players and their devoted fans can enjoy these world-class upgrades to Ken Rosewall Arena at the inaugural tournament in Sydney”.
